The Poet and Pegasus (Le Poète et Pégase)

This is a bronze relief depicting the Poet and Pegasus. The myth of Pegasus is omnipresent in so-called classical literature and poetry, so much so that there are countless famous authors who have dedicated to him one or more texts, especially poems where he refers to the call of inspiration. Voltaire, Honoré de Balzac, Friedrich Schiller, Heinrich Heine, Victor Hugo, Alice de Chambrier, Jose Maria de Heredia and Jean Cocteau paid tribute to the winged horse of Greek mythology, each in his own way, through one or more of their works.本件青铜浮雕的主题为诗人与飞马珀伽索斯（Pegasus）。飞马珀伽索斯的神话在所谓古典文学与诗歌中随处可见，诸多知名作家均曾以其为主题创作一篇或多篇作品，其中尤以展现灵感感召的诗歌为盛。伏尔泰、奥诺雷·德·巴尔扎克、弗里德里希·席勒、海因里希·海涅、维克多·雨果、爱丽丝·德·尚布里耶、何塞·玛丽亚·德·埃雷迪亚与让·科克托，均以各自的创作风格，通过一篇或多部作品向这座希腊神话中的双翼飞马致以敬意。
