Our work aims to determine the developmental regulation of mtRNA editing in Trypanosoma brucei. We show how an RNA helicase complex (REH2C) differentially controls the editing of the A6 substrate in two lifecycle stages by modulating non-canonical edits directed by anti-initiator gRNAs.
