Reference genome of Corallium japonicum (Coralliidae)

To reveal larval dispersal range of Corallium japonicum that is suffering from poaching and over-harvesting, we estimated spatial genetic structure using genome-wide SNPs obtained by high-throughput technology. We examined the power of detecting significant spatial structure by changing the number of loci and the proportion of missing data using both using both in de novo and mapping method. This assembled sequencing data was created from C. japonicum (Label: アカサンゴ1, Sample number: 91) collected in Shiraho, Okinawa, Japan on 24th October 2011 and used as a reference genome.

为探明正遭受非法捕捞与过度采收的日本红珊瑚（Corallium japonicum）的幼体扩散范围，本研究利用高通量测序技术获取的全基因组单核苷酸多态性（SNPs）对其空间遗传结构进行了估算。我们通过调整位点数量与缺失数据占比，并分别采用从头组装（de novo）与比对映射两种分析方法，评估了检测显著空间遗传结构的效能。本次组装的测序数据来源于2011年10月24日在日本冲绳县白保采集的日本红珊瑚（标签：アカサンゴ1，样本编号：91），并被用作参考基因组。
