Key questions about the radio emission from pulsar magnetospheres remain unanswered. These include the height of the radio emission above the surface, and the variations of height across the emitting field lines and as a function of frequency, and the overall filling factor of the pulsar beam. These questions are complicated by the unknown viewing geometry, which is mostly determined by the inclination angle between the rotation and magnetic axes (alpha) for the majority of pulsars. Here, we propose to investigate interpulse pulsars where we know that alpha is close to 90 degrees. We will use the ultra-wide band receiver to make sensitive observations across a continuous frequency range from 0.7 to 4.0~GHz. This will allow us, for the first time, to answer the questions posed above.
