Replication Package for "Understanding Architectural Quality: A Systematic Mapping Study of Quality Attributes, Trade-offs, and Optimization Strategies"

This package contains the complete data and supporting material for the systematic mapping study (SMS) reported in the paper above. The SMS analyzed 150 primary studies published between January 2014 and June 2026, drawn from five major digital libraries: ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Web of Science. Browsable website: For convenience, the package ships with a small self-contained website. After downloading and extracting the archive, simply open index.html in any web browser Contents (see readme.md for a file-by-file description):- protocol/ — review protocol, objectives, inclusion/exclusion criteria, research questions, and the search strings for each library- search-results/ — raw exports from the five digital libraries (.bib / .ris)- selection/ — study-selection spreadsheets (final accepted set and rejections per phase)- extraction/ — complete data-extraction table (.tsv and .xlsx)- thematic-synthesis/ — synthesis workbook and per-RQ coding files- visualization/ — datasets used to generate the figures and tables- site/ — the browsable website and its generator (build.py) The full study protocol — including the search string, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and the four-phase selection process — is included in this package (protocol/) and also described in the paper.
