This dataset is built upon the SAMSum dataset, where summaries are generated using the OpenAI ChatGPT API (gpt-3.5-turbo) with a temperature set to 0.7. The fine-tuned model outperforms baseline models across multiple evaluation metrics, showcasing the few-shot learning and text summarization capabilities of ChatGPT, as well as its potential to reduce manual annotation efforts for summarization. The fine-tuned model has also been uploaded to Hugging Face.
