Activated eosinophils is a major cell type to be mainly involved in allergic diseases. Recent studies also indicated that eosinophils play an important role in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), especially asthma-COPD overlap and/or eosinophil COPD. The aim of this study is to clarify cellular characters of human eosinophils in patients with asthma-COPD overlap and/or eosinophil COPD.

活化嗜酸性粒细胞(activated eosinophils)是过敏性疾病的主要受累细胞类型。近期研究亦表明,嗜酸性粒细胞在慢性阻塞性肺疾病(chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD)的发病机制中发挥重要作用,尤其在哮喘-慢性阻塞性肺疾病重叠综合征及(或)嗜酸性粒细胞性COPD中。本研究旨在阐明哮喘-慢性阻塞性肺疾病重叠综合征及(或)嗜酸性粒细胞性COPD患者体内人嗜酸性粒细胞的细胞特征。
