FILE DESCRIPTION Keywords: alarm calls, WTPDs, age, ARS, clan size, sex Filename = Fig 8.1, 8.5, 8.6, 8.7, 8.8, Alarm calls, Males and females, WTPDs, 19 Nov 2025 OLD Filename = WTPDs, New alarm calls for stats, 01 April 2019 This file contains WTPD alarm calls in response to stuffed badger for 2006 through 2018 WTPD = Nyanzol marker on pelage Eartag = right or left eartag Sex = Male or Female (Fem) Class of caller: 0 = No known kin of any kind in home territory 1 = distant kin only in home territory (cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, with r <=0.25) Class 1 also includes NON-LITTERMATE siblings from different years 2 = littermate sibling in home territory, but NO OFFSPRING 3 = mother in home territory 4 = offspring in home territory. In most cases, the offspring are juveniles of the current year. In a few cases, the offspring are adults form earlier years. Callfreq = proportion of experiments with stuffed badger when WTPD gave alarm call Trials = number of experiments with stuffed badger Age = age in years of WTPD Clan size = number of adults and yearlings in home territory Yearling offspring only = 0 means that female had weaned juveniles in home territory for experiments Yearling offspring only = 1 means that female had adult offspring only (NO BABIES) in home terr for experiments For half-male clans, I usually INCLUDED the single male in BOTH clans This file checked two times on 08 Dec 2018, once by John and once by John and Judy NOTE: Some data from 2010 are at end of file (out of order) Note: I created this file 0n 08 Nov 2018. On 10 December, I change many of the ratings for class of WTPD males. If a male copped with a female, I scored him as class = 3, EVEN IF HE DID NOT SIRE ANY OF THAT FEMALE'S BABIES. On 05 Mar 2019, his file has now been checked TWO TIMES (JLH alone, and JLH + Judy). On 05 March 2019, this file is now ready for statistics. On 28 March, I change Yearling offspring only for H6 (613 in 2009) from 0 to 1. On 01 April 2019, I change Callfreq for 4SRS (947) in 2010 from 100 to 87.5.
