资源简介:
Many studies have shown that individuals evaluate their self-esteem differently in different cultural backgrounds. In Western cultures, individuals tend to overestimate their self-esteem levels, while in contrast, individuals in Eastern cultures tend to underestimate their self-esteem levels. Consequently, they also demonstrate differences in the use of self-evaluation strategies. Westerners tend to use self-enhancement strategies, whereas Easterners tend to use self-protection strategies. However, the use of these strategies is also influenced by different metacognitive abilities. This study aims to investigate whether different metacognitive abilities are associated with self-evaluation strategies under the influence of Chinese and Western cultures. unknown other
