Klebsiella pneumoniae is an important pathogen causing bovine mastitis that leads to economic and welfare costs in the dairy industry worldwide, and is occurring with increasing frequency in China. Bckp101 is a virulent strain isolated from the dairy cow with acute mastitis, and belongs to the serotype K54. Whole genome sequencing of strain Bckp101 may contribute to better explore the pathogenic mechanism of K. pneumoniae in bovine mastitis.

肺炎克雷伯菌（Klebsiella pneumoniae）是引发牛乳腺炎的重要病原菌，该病原菌可在全球乳制品行业造成经济损失与动物福利成本，且在中国的发生频率呈逐年升高趋势。菌株Bckp101是从患急性乳腺炎的奶牛体内分离得到的强毒株，属于K54血清型。对该菌株开展全基因组测序（Whole genome sequencing），将有助于更深入地探究肺炎克雷伯菌引发牛乳腺炎的致病机制。
