This dataset is developed based on the MOD11A2 product of the MODIS Terra satellite using the average synthesis method. It generates a monthly mean land surface temperature (LST) series with a spatial resolution of 1 kilometer, covering the entire territory of China and spanning from 2000 to 2025. This dataset has undergone strict quality control, and with its characteristics of long-time series and high spatial continuity, it provides an important data foundation for researching the spatiotemporal patterns and change trends of the regional land surface thermal environment in China, as well as related ecological environment and climate change issues.
