Processed data and reproducible analysis code for sex-specific cardiometabolic trajectories of hypertensive heart disease and high body mass index attribution across 204 countries, 1990–2023

This repository supports the manuscript “Sex-specific cardiometabolic trajectories of hypertensive heart disease and high body mass index attribution across 204 countries, 1990–2023”. It contains public processed aggregate results, reproducible Python code, a file-level data dictionary, and a source manifest for official GBD 2023 analyses spanning Global, 204 countries and territories, 21 GBD regions, five official SDI groups, and Male/Female/Both strata. It includes high-BMI attribution, HSBP calibration, temporal and Newey–West sensitivity analyses, grouped health-inequality indices, stability-coded national phenotypes, and an official age-specific arithmetic Shapley decomposition. Original IHME downloads and near-complete reshaped source tables are excluded; users must retrieve them directly from the GBD Results Tool under current IHME terms. Posterior draws were not obtained, so sex contrasts are descriptive. HSBP and high-BMI attribution overlap and must not be added; the Shapley decomposition is non-causal and point-estimate based.
