Heatstroke (HS) can trigger cytokine storm and multiple organ dysfunctions, but its pathophysiological mechanisms are complex and remain incompletely understood. Herein we explored the potential mechanisms on HS-driven inflammatory responses from the perspective of the gut microbiota-metabolite axis. In this dataset, the metabolic profiles of intestinal contents, serum, liver and cortex in mice after HS were analyzed by using an untargeted LC-MS-based metabolomics method. Moreover, the gut microbiota was analyzed via 16S rRNA gene sequencing in the intestinal contents of mice after HS or HS mice after treatment with an arginine-enriched oral inulin hydrogel.

中暑(Heatstroke, HS)可诱发细胞因子风暴与多器官功能障碍,但其病理生理机制复杂且尚未完全阐明。本研究从肠道菌群-代谢物轴的视角,探究了中暑驱动炎症反应的潜在机制。本数据集采用基于非靶向液相色谱-质谱(LC-MS)的代谢组学方法,分析了中暑小鼠的肠道内容物、血清、肝脏及皮层的代谢谱;此外,本数据集还通过16S核糖体RNA基因测序,分析了中暑小鼠以及经富含精氨酸的口服菊糖水凝胶干预后的中暑小鼠的肠道内容物菌群。
