It also provides the government with data on the preferences of various demographic groups for short videos, offering analytical data support for regulatory work. Additionally, it develops industry ad delivery operation analysis reports based on the different preferences of age groups, to help the industry better promote the healthy development of short videos.

The data used in this analysis is sourced from the ERP system of Neduo Media, specifically regional short-video platform ad delivery-related data collected between January 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024. The data has been collected and completed with statistical analysis and processing.
2. Traffic Calculation Methodology
In the context of this dataset, traffic refers to the number of times content is displayed and played, which is a core indicator for measuring the breadth of content dissemination. Traffic sources are divided into organic play volume and traffic brought by ad delivery increments. The proportion of organic play volume reflects the inherent attractiveness of the content and its word-of-mouth communication capability; the ad delivery increment reflects the additional traffic brought by paid promotion. For example, content with higher ad investment usually corresponds to larger ad delivery increments, demonstrating that ad delivery plays a significant role in expanding traffic scale.
The formulas are as follows:
Total Play Volume = Organic Play Volume + Ad Delivery Increment
Organic Traffic Proportion = (Organic Play Volume / Total Play Volume) * 100%
3. Interaction Rate Calculation Methodology
The interaction rate reflects the degree of audience participation and feedback towards the content, embodying the deep impact of the content on the audience. It includes behaviors such as likes, comments, shares and collections. A like represents simple recognition and support; a comment indicates that the audience has deeper thoughts and a desire to express their opinions; a share means the audience is willing to recommend the content to others; a collection shows that the audience wants to save the content for future viewing. For instance, content with a high number of likes is relatively popular, while content with a large number of comments has sparked heated discussions among the audience.
The formula is:
Interaction Rate = (Likes + Comments + Shares + Collections) / Total Play Volume * 100%
4. Rating Algorithm
Ad effects are rated based on the full play rate and total play volume, with the rating criteria as follows:
- Level S: Full play rate ≥ 35% and total play volume > 500,000
- Level A: Full play rate ≥ 30% and total play volume > 200,000
- Level B: Full play rate ≥ 25% and total play volume > 50,000
- Level C: Full play rate ≥ 20% and total play volume > 10,000
- Level D: Full play rate < 20% or total play volume ≤ 10,000
