Emergency fund for municipalities impacted by the summer 2023 riots

Following the riots that took place in early summer 2023 and which caused significant damage to public buildings in Paris, the Region had quickly set up an emergency fund of more than EUR 20 million to help affected municipalities and rebuild throughout the Île-de-France region. With EUR 18 million allocated to municipalities and EUR 2 million to Parisian merchants and artisans, the emergency fund takes the form of repayable advances of up to 70 % of support. After studying the files, 41 municipalities in all departments of small and large crowns will receive repayable advances to compensate for the damage caused during the riots for a total amount of EUR 11.3 million.
