Bibliometric Data

This study conducts a bibliometric review of innovation performance within SMEs to synthesize existing research, identify intellectual structures, and provide directions for future inquiry. Despite the growing recognition of innovation performance as a key determinant of SME competitiveness, there has been no comprehensive aggregation of findings to assess the field’s evolution. Using co-citation analysis, and bibliographic coupling, this study uncovers dominant themes, foundational works, and emerging trends. The findings highlight the significance of absorptive capacity, open innovation, and ambidexterity in driving SME innovation performance while emphasizing the need for broader theoretical perspectives, contextual considerations, and methodological diversification in future research. By mapping the intellectual landscape, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of SME innovation performance and offers valuable insights for scholars and practitioners seeking to advance the field.

本研究针对中小型企业（Small and Medium Enterprises, SMEs）的创新绩效（innovation performance）开展文献计量综述（bibliometric review），旨在整合现有研究成果、梳理其知识结构，并为未来研究指明方向。尽管创新绩效作为中小型企业竞争力的核心决定因素已获得学界日益广泛的认可，但目前尚无研究对该领域的相关发现进行系统性整合，以评估其发展演进历程。本研究借助共被引分析（co-citation analysis）与文献耦合分析（bibliographic coupling），揭示了该领域的核心研究主题、奠基性经典文献与新兴研究趋势。研究结果表明，吸收能力（absorptive capacity）、开放式创新（open innovation）与双元性（ambidexterity）对提升中小型企业创新绩效具有重要作用；同时强调未来研究需拓展理论视角、强化情境考量并实现研究方法的多元化。本研究通过绘制该领域的知识格局，深化了学界对中小型企业创新绩效的认知，并为致力于推动该领域发展的学者与实务从业者提供了极具价值的参考见解。
