Golden snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellana) is endangered leaf-eatingmonkeys that inhabit the northemnmost distribution of all colobines primates. Thisprimates inhabiting seasonal temperate forests in the mountainous highlands (extremelycold in winter with snow coving, very different in non-human primates) across centraand westemn China. They lived in aggregated multilevel societies comprised with largenumber of one-male, multiple female social units and bachelor groups.

川金丝猴（Golden snub-nosed monkey，学名*Rhinopithecus roxellana*）是一类濒危的叶食性灵长类，同时也是所有疣猴亚科（colobines）灵长动物中分布纬度最北的类群。该物种栖息于中国中西部山地高原的季节性温带森林中——这类生境冬季严寒多雪，与其他非人灵长类的栖息环境差异显著。它们营聚合式多层社会结构，种群由大量一雄多雌社会单元与全雄群共同构成。
