Streptococcus thermophilus Transcriptomes. Streptococcus thermophilus

The transcriptomes of Streptococcus thermophilus strains ST106 and B59671, with ST106 induced and not induced with BlpC, were analyzed to investigate expression from within the bacteriocin-like peptide (blp) gene cluster. ST106 produces blp bacteriocins in the presence of exogenous BlpC, while B59671 produces blp bacteriocins naturally. This project will help with future efforts concerning the optimization of bacteriocin production.

本研究针对嗜热链球菌（Streptococcus thermophilus）菌株ST106与B59671的转录组开展分析，其中ST106分别经BlpC诱导与未诱导处理，旨在探究类细菌素肽（bacteriocin-like peptide，blp）基因簇内的基因表达情况。ST106在添加外源BlpC的条件下可合成blp类细菌素，而菌株B59671可天然产生blp类细菌素。本项研究将为后续优化细菌素生产的相关工作提供有力支撑。
