Comparison of oral microbiota in peri-implant mucositis and gingivitis

We performed Illumina MiSeq sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene amplicons targeting the V3-V4 hypervariable region from dental plaque samples. We aimed to compare both the supra-mucosal and the submucosal microbiota present at peri-implant mucositis niches with their 'counterparts' around teeth, i.e. the gingivitis niches, within the same individual who present with both clinical conditions.

本研究对牙菌斑样本中靶向V3-V4高变区的16S rRNA基因扩增子开展Illumina MiSeq测序。本研究旨在对比同一同时罹患两种临床病症的个体中，种植体周围黏膜炎病灶微生态位处的黏膜上、黏膜下微生物群，与其对应牙齿周围（即牙龈炎病灶微生态位处）的同类微生物群。
