Rule of Law Index

The Rule of Law Index, developed by the World Justice Project, measures adherence to universal rule of law principles across countries. Utilizing data from over 214,000 households and 3,500 experts, the Index evaluates and ranks nations based on key indicators such as government accountability, corruption, transparency, fundamental rights, open government, civic engagement, security, business regulation, and the effectiveness of regulatory, criminal, and civil justice systems. It is widely used by policymakers, civil society organizations, academics, and businesses to assess rule of law strengths and weaknesses and track changes over time.
