An04-4783, which was identified as a drought sensitive foxtail millet variety was used to investigate drought-responsive miRNAs in this novel model species. Two small RNA libraries of An04-4783 were constructed under control and water-deficit conditions and sequenced using the Illumina sequencing platform.
