Heliothis virescens transcriptome project. Heliothis virescens strain:mixed

A transcriptome project for the tobacco budworm Heliothis virescens has been performed by several USDA-ARS entomologists. Sanger reads from cDNA libraries are available in the nucleotide EST database. Illumina sequencing of additional transcripts is underway. RNA was prepared from eggs, larvae of various stages, pupae, adults (males and females); midguts, nervous tissue, hemocytes, fat bodies, pheromone glands; immune-stimulated hemocytes and fat bodies; and after Bt intoxication.

由多位美国农业部农业研究服务局（USDA-ARS）昆虫学家开展的烟芽夜蛾（Heliothis virescens）转录组学研究项目已部分完成：来自cDNA文库的桑格测序读段（Sanger reads）现已可在核苷酸表达序列标签（Expressed Sequence Tag, EST）数据库中获取；针对额外转录本的Illumina测序工作目前仍在进行中。本研究的RNA样品制备自以下材料：卵、不同发育阶段的幼虫、蛹、雌雄成虫；中肠、神经组织、血细胞、脂肪体、信息素腺；经免疫刺激的血细胞与脂肪体；以及经苏云金杆菌（Bacillus thuringiensis, Bt）毒素处理后的样本。
