FigShare - A Two-Year Incubation Study: Investigating the Vertical Transport of Microplastics in Soil and Their Impact on Soil Pore Development

This study investigated the impact of microplastics (MPs) on soil structure and their vertical transport through a two-year field experiment using 45 re-packed soil columns. Three treatments were applied: polyethylene terephthalate fragments or fibers mixed into the topsoil, and a control without MPs, with soil structure monitored using X-ray tomography.

本研究依托45根重新装填的土柱开展为期两年的田间试验，探究了微塑料（microplastics, MPs）对土壤结构的影响及其垂直运移行为。试验设置3种处理方案：将聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯（polyethylene terephthalate）碎片或纤维混入表层土壤，以及无微塑料的空白对照组，并采用X射线层析成像（X-ray tomography）对土壤结构进行监测。
