Number of occurrences of different coral genera recorded at sites in Velondriake Locally Managed Marine Area in surveys one year before and one year after Cyclone Haruna (22nd February 2013). Survey method: Seven randomly positioned 4 m2 quadrats were completed at each site. Quadrats were haphazardly placed by the observer who randomly selected a direction of travel and a random amount of fin kicks (between 5 and 20) to determine the quadrat location. All colonies with diameter >10 cm were counted in each quadrat.本数据集记录了2013年2月22日飓风哈鲁纳（Cyclone Haruna）前后各一年的调查中，韦隆德里亚克地方管理海洋保护区（Velondriake Locally Managed Marine Area）各监测点位的不同珊瑚属（coral genera）出现频次。调查方法为：于每个监测点位布设7个随机定位的4平方米样方（quadrats）。样方由观测者通过随机选取行进方向与5至20次脚蹼划动来确定样方位置，以此完成随机布设。每个样方内所有直径大于10厘米的珊瑚群落均被计数统计。
