Zoom (ROI-11) at 6.36um of the brain of donor LADAF-2021-17, scanned at ESRF on beamline BM18 using the HiP-CT imaging technique. Hierarchical Phase-Contrast Tomography (HiP-CT) is an X-ray technique that decouples field of view and resolution to image anywhere in the human body with cellular (micron) resolution. Imaging areas can be full organs at a resolution of 25 micron or zoomed regions in these organs with resolutions between 6 and 0.6 micron, one hundred times the resolution of medical CT.

本数据集为供体LADAF-2021-17的大脑样本在6.36微米分辨率下、编号为ROI-11的感兴趣区域(Region of Interest)的放大成像结果,该成像于欧洲同步辐射光源(European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, ESRF)的BM18光束线完成,采用分层相衬层析成像(Hierarchical Phase-Contrast Tomography, HiP-CT)技术。分层相衬层析成像(HiP-CT)是一种X射线成像技术,可通过分离视场与分辨率参数,实现人体任意部位的细胞级(微米级)分辨率成像。该技术的成像范围既可以是25微米分辨率的完整器官,也可以是上述器官内的放大区域,分辨率覆盖6至0.6微米,其成像分辨率可达医用CT的100倍。
