This dataset contains canopy space-filling, abundance, leaf traits and productivity data to identify the biodiversity-productivity relationships in the forest. The data were collected from the Sardinilla experiment in Panama in 2017. The analysis was done in subplots (4 subplots nested in 1 plot). Because of the high mortality (>85%) of C. alliodora in the first year of the experiment, the species' monoculture data is unavailable. Following that, C. alliodora available in 12 subplots in 2017 was excluded from the datasets.
