资源简介:

Derived data and analysis code for a screening assessment of methane slip (unburned methane) from Nigerian gas flares, 2022 to 2024. Flared gas volumes for 499 Nigerian site-records come from the Earth Observation Group (EOG) VIIRS Nightfire annual flared gas volume files for 2022, 2023 and 2024 (Payne Institute for Public Policy, Colorado School of Mines). Product generation is credited to the Earth Observation Group. Methane slip was computed with the methane calculator of the NigerDelta HSSE Tracker v0.2.0 (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23210884) across 27 scenarios of flare destruction efficiency, methane fraction and reference temperature, and its uncertainty was ranked with a variance-based (Sobol') sensitivity analysis. Files:- Supplementary_Data_S1.csv: site-year methane slip estimates (central case with lower and upper bounds) and the 21 excluded zero-volume records.- Supplementary_Data_S2.csv: national totals of methane slip, CO2 and CO2-equivalent for all 27 scenarios by year.- Supplementary_Data_S3.csv: the 23 calculator test vectors with reference values, application outputs and relative errors.- Supplementary_Data_S4.py: Python script for the variance-based sensitivity analysis (requires NumPy and SciPy).- Supplementary_Data_S5.csv: output of S4 (sensitivity indices, thresholds and percentiles). The values are scenario-based screening estimates, not measurements or inventory figures, and should not be used as a carbon-credit or compliance baseline.
