UCLA SLAGC Wildlife Overpass Project: Selected Fungi Samples

This project seeks to support the restoration of the wildlife corridor currently being constructed over the US-101 freeway. We collected hyperlocal fungi samples from the Santa Monica Mountains and inoculated oak tree saplings to be planted on the overpass. The aim is to establish mycorrhizal associations with the saplings so they can most naturally integrate into the landscape of the corridor. This slide deck contains selected fungi samples to aid future identification of mushrooms.

本项目旨在为目前正在美国101号高速公路上方兴建的野生生物通道（wildlife corridor）的修复工作提供支撑。研究团队从圣塔莫尼卡山脉采集了超局域真菌样本，并对将种植于该天桥上的橡树幼苗开展了真菌接种处理。本项目的核心目标是促使这些幼苗建立菌根共生关系（mycorrhizal associations），使其能够最自然地融入该野生生物通道的景观体系。本幻灯片集收录了经筛选的真菌样本，以辅助未来开展蘑菇物种鉴定工作。
