The fill from two hearths at Site 5WL1794 in eastern Colorado, was floated
ton recover macrofloral remains. Feature 3 yielded a radiocarbon date of 2970
+ 90 BP, suggesting a Middle to Late Archaic occupation. Analysis of the
macrofloral remains was undertaken to provide information concerning possible use
of these hearths for processing foods.
