This experiment investigated the microbiological profiles of wild oyster habitats at three sites in the North Sea, using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing and bioinformatic to screen for microorganisms involved in nutrient cycles. This simple molecular approach, under limited resources, now provides a valuable platform for designing more advanced investigations and emphasizes the necessity for large-scale restoration of biogenic reef-engineering species to combat the global nitrogen crisis affecting the ocean.

本实验以北海三处采样位点的野生牡蛎栖息地为研究对象,采用16S rRNA扩增子测序(16S rRNA amplicon sequencing)结合生物信息学分析,解析该生境的微生物群落特征,并筛选参与营养物质循环的微生物。在资源受限的条件下,本研究所采用的简易分子分析手段,可为后续开展更高阶的相关研究提供极具价值的平台,同时也凸显了大规模修复生物礁构建物种的必要性,以应对波及全球海洋的氮素危机。
