## Dataset Description

Abstract (English)
&nbsp;
This derived dataset extends the original population dataset by age groups in Latin America (de la Serna, 2026; DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18891177) by adding five calculated demographic indicators for 11 Latin American countries across four reference years (2000, 2010, 2020, and 2023). No raw data were modified; all variables were computed from the absolute population estimates already contained in the source dataset.

The five indicators provided are: (1) Aging Index (AI): ratio of population aged 65+ to population aged 0-14, multiplied by 100; (2) Total Dependency Ratio (TDR): sum of population aged 0-14 and 65+ divided by population aged 15-64, multiplied by 100; (3) Youth Dependency Ratio (YDR): population aged 0-14 divided by population aged 15-64, multiplied

## 数据集说明

### 摘要（英文）
本衍生数据集基于拉丁美洲分年龄组原始人口数据集（de la Serna, 2026；DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18891177），为11个拉丁美洲国家在四个基准年份（2000、2010、2020、2023）新增了5项计算得到的人口统计指标。本数据集未修改原始数据，所有变量均源自源数据集已包含的绝对人口估计值。
