INFO ABOUT THE DATA YOU ARE ACCESSING TO<br><br>You are here accessing to the homogenized daily peak wind gust (DPWG) series created in the following paper:<br><br>Minola L., Azorin-Molina C., Guijarro J. A., Zhang G., Son S.-W., &amp; Chen D. (2021): Climatology of near-surface daly peak wind gusts across Scandinavia: observations and model simulation. Journal of Geophysical Research - Atmospheres<br><br>The analysis of the above paper were carried based on this dataset. <br><br>All the homogenised DPWG series and related info are included in the text files named:<br>(1) ‘Info_stations.txt’ <br>(2) ‘DPWG_series.txt’ <br><br>If you have problems to access to the data and/or questions about it, please contact Deliang Chen:<br>deliang@gvc.gu.se<br><br><br><br>WHAT YOU FIND IN THE TEXT FILES<br><br>‘Info_stations.txt’ provides info about the measuring stations used for this study. In particular, columns refer to:<br>(Column 1) Station label - for the identification of the daily peak wind gust series in the ‘DPWG_series.txt’<br>(Column 2) Measuring station name<br>(Column 3) ID station number<br>(Column 4) Nation - Finland, Norway, or Sweden<br>(Column 5) Latitude<br>(Column 6) Longitude<br>(Column 7) Elevation [m a.s.l.] <br>(Column 8) Type of station - Coast, inland, or mountain<br><br>‘DPWG_series.txt’ contains the homogenized DPWG series.
