Dataset: synthetic pack of spheres for image-based simulations

The dataset contains the locations and sizes of the spherical particles generated by the discrete element method that resembles the soil studied in Zhou et al. (2014), Water Resources Research, 50(12), 9630-9655, which serves as a platform to conduct image-based freezing simulations. This has been used for the validation exercise in our manuscript entitled "Image-based estimation of freezing characteristic curve for water-saturated porous media" submitted to Water Resources Research.

本数据集包含通过离散元法（discrete element method）生成的球形颗粒的位置与尺寸参数，该颗粒体系与Zhou等人2014年发表于《水资源研究（Water Resources Research）》第50卷第12期（页码9630-9655）中所研究的土体特征相似，可作为开展基于图像的冻结模拟的研究平台。本数据集已被应用于我们投稿至《水资源研究（Water Resources Research）》、题为《水饱和多孔介质冻结特性曲线的图像估算方法》的手稿中的验证实验。
