RNA-Seq was performed to study the change of gene expression before and after cold treatment in Brachypodium. Different change patterns were identified. We have provided a complete view of transcriptome under cold stress condition, which will deepen our understanding of gene expression regulation in cold stress response as well as cold stress response mechanism for monocot plants. Overall design: The mRNA profiles of 12-day-old Brachypodium seedlings with and without cold treatment (4 °C for 24 h) were generated by deep sequencing using Illumina HiSeq™ 2000.

本研究通过RNA测序(RNA-Seq)技术,探究了短柄草属(Brachypodium)植物在冷处理(cold treatment)前后的基因表达变化,并鉴定出多种差异化的基因表达模式。本数据集完整呈现了冷胁迫(cold stress)条件下的转录组(transcriptome)全貌,可助力我们深化对单子叶植物冷胁迫响应过程中基因表达调控机制以及冷胁迫响应机制的理解。整体实验设计:本研究采用Illumina HiSeq™ 2000平台开展深度测序,获取了12日龄短柄草属幼苗在冷处理(4℃,24小时)与未经冷处理条件下的mRNA表达谱。
