This dataset is supplementary material for the project "Identifying Grand Questions in Paleontology: A Community-Driven Project". It contains 89 priority research questions co-proposed by nearly 200 scientists worldwide. These questions are categorized into 11 themes, covering drivers of biodiversity, cross-spatiotemporal data integration, application of contemporary issues, technological innovation, optimization of the disciplinary structure, and other relevant directions, providing a consensus-based reference framework for paleontological research.
