Survey of the Military Profession, 1992

This survey is part of a panel study of military professionals that commenced in 1987 (SSDA No. 477). The study examines the attitudes of officer cadets towards their choice of career, training, education, the structure of the military and it's role in society and other general social issues. Background variables covered sex, age, birthplace, religion, marital status, previous service history and education level, and mother and father's birthplace, education level and family service history.

本调研系1987年启动的军事专业人员追踪研究（SSDA No. 477）的组成部分。该研究考察军官候补生（officer cadets）对职业选择、训练与教育、军事组织架构及其在社会中的角色，以及其他一般性社会议题的态度。调研涵盖的背景变量包括性别、年龄、出生地、宗教信仰、婚姻状况、既往服役经历与受教育水平，以及父母的出生地、受教育程度及家庭服役背景。
