Leaf water potential measurements with a Scholander-type pressure chamber at a secondary tropical dry forest in northwestern Mexico

This data set includes leaf water potential measurements from 3 tree species from a mature and well-preserved tropical dry forest in Alamos Sonora, Mexico. The field campaigns were carried on July 26th, septimber 6th, October 3rd, October 25th, November 2nd, 2018 at Racho el Guayabo within the reserve “Monte Mojino”, managed by Nature Culture International which lies within the federal protected area: “Area de Proteccion de Flora y Fauna Sierra de Alamos-Rio Chuchujaqui”, in the state of Sonora, Mexico. Data was collected at 5:00 am (pre-dawn), and 12:00 pm (midday) in sun-exposed twigs of four different leguminous trees. Tree species measured: Lysiloma watsonii Lysiloma divaricatum Vachellia campeachiana *Plase note that when data was collected we believed we were sampling Acacia cochliacantha and now we understand that Vachellia is the revised genus revised for Acacia. Ancillary data on shallow soil moisture (30cm) and meteorology are also provided.
