由于峡部宽度较窄，无法对硅胶模型的高度开展可靠测量。本次研究以最小值与最大值（极差）替代标准差进行统计。本研究中的p值对应数字体积断层扫描（digital volume tomography, DVT）数据与硅胶模型间的两两比较。其中，DVT即数字体积断层扫描，ET即咽鼓管（Eustachian tube, ET）。本实验还测量了石南荒原绵羊与黑面绵羊的咽鼓管相关尺寸。
