To understand the differential micro-RNA expression underlying biting behavior in Culex pipiens, a primary vector for West Nile virus, we provide small-RNA sequences of 3 day-old female heads from two forms: biting Culex pipiens pipiens (prior to ingesting blood-meal) and non-biting Culex pipiens molestus.
为解析作为西尼罗河病毒(West Nile virus)主要传播媒介的尖音库蚊(Culex pipiens)吸血行为背后的微小RNA(micro-RNA)差异表达机制,本数据集提供了两类尖音库蚊3日龄雌蚊头部的小RNA(small-RNA)测序序列:吸血型尖音库蚊指名亚种(Culex pipiens pipiens,样本采集于血餐进食前),以及非吸血型尖音库蚊迷走亚种(Culex pipiens molestus)。
