Ascaris ovis mitochondrion, complete genome

The mitochondrial genome of Ascaris ovis from the sheep in Southwest China was determined using Illumina sequencing technology. The assembled genome was 14,205 bp in size and encoded 36 genes, including 12 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes and two ribosomal RNA genes.本研究采用Illumina测序技术，测定了采自中国西南地区绵羊体内的绵羊蛔虫（Ascaris ovis）的线粒体基因组。该组装完成的基因组全长为14205 bp，共编码36个基因，其中包含12个蛋白质编码基因、22个转运RNA（transfer RNA）基因以及2个核糖体RNA（ribosomal RNA）基因。
