U.S. Navy SPOT Global Surface and Upper Air Observations, daily 1971-1996

The Navy Fleet Numerical Weather Center (FNWC) collects, on an operational basis, surface and upper air data from the Global Telecommunications System (GTS). DSS created the subsets. Coverage and quality inferior to NCEP/NMC ADP - we recommend using DS464.0 [https://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds464.0/] and DS353.4 [https://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds353.4/].

海军舰队数值气象中心（Navy Fleet Numerical Weather Center, FNWC）以业务化运行方式，从全球电信系统（Global Telecommunications System, GTS）采集地面与高空气象探测数据。DSS 生成了该数据集的子集。其覆盖范围与数据质量均劣于美国国家环境预报中心/国家气象中心（National Centers for Environmental Prediction/National Meteorological Center, NCEP/NMC）的ADP数据，因此推荐使用DS464.0（https://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds464.0/）与DS353.4（https://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds353.4/）。
