We recently collected specimens of <i>Clavulina</i> on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Four taxa were recognized based on examination of morphological characters and the results of molecular phylogenetic analyses. In this work, we describe and illustrate <i>Clavulina ilicicola </i>as a new species. The nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) was sequenced from dried basidiomata.
