Bathyopsurus nybelini DNA barcoding and gut metagenomic sequencing

Isopods carrying Sargassum were collected at depths of 6100-6113 m in the Puerto Rico Trench. Isopods were morphologically identified as Bathyopsurus nybelini. We performed DNA barcoding using the 18S and 28S rRNA genes and characterized the gut microbiome using shotgun metagenomic sequencing of one specimen.

携带马尾藻的等足类动物（Isopods）采集自波多黎各海沟6100~6113米水深区域。经形态学鉴定，该等足类动物为Bathyopsurus nybelini。我们利用18S和28S核糖体RNA（rRNA）基因开展DNA条形码（DNA barcoding）分析，并通过对单只标本进行鸟枪法宏基因组测序，对其肠道微生物组进行了表征。
