Sanitary Survey Due Dates

All public drinking water systems in Alaska must undergo a sanitary survey every 3 or 5 years, depending on their system classification. The described GIS feature layer provides two key pieces of information for each system statewide: The date of the most recent sanitary survey, and The due date for the next required survey. This tool is designed to help state-certified Sanitary Surveyors identify regions where multiple surveys may be needed at the same time, supporting better planning and reduced statewide travel costs. The data is sourced directly from the Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) and is updated daily, ensuring surveyors have current information.
