Landslide Inventories and PlanetScope Imagery for the Northern Noto Peninsula, Japan

This dataset comprises three complementary components for landslide analysis. (1) A legacy landslide inventory (legacy_landslides.tif) derived from the 1:50,000 landslide distribution maps provided by the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED), Japan. The inventory was generated by merging the original polygons and represents long-term historical landslide distributions. (2) An event-based landslide inventory (landslide_202410.tif) generated through visual interpretation of PlanetScope imagery acquired in October 2024. The inventory captures landslides associated with cascading earthquake and rainfall events in 2024. (3) The corresponding PlanetScope RGB imagery (ishikawa_202410.png), with a spatial resolution of 3 m. The image is provided together with its associated auxiliary metadata and overview files (ishikawa_202410.png.aux.xml and ishikawa_202410.png.ovr), which contain geospatial information and pyramid layers, respectively, to support correct georeferencing and efficient visualization.
