The primary goal of the calibration and validation (Cal/Val) cruise was to conduct coincident matchup measurements to validate VIIRS ocean color data products in clear oceanic waters around the Hawaiian Islands. The secondary goal was to collect measurements for uncertainty evaluations with the Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) systems.
