CADM1, an immunoglobulin superfamily member, frequently inactivated but function as a tumor suppressor in many solid tumors. However, how CADM1 expression in ovarian cancer cells and the mechanisms of its tumor suppressor function is not fully understood. We created ovarian cancer ES-2 cell lines in which CADM1 was stably up-regulated. Genes differentially expressed in CADM1-overexpressing ES-2 cells. Overall design: To uncover the upstream regulatory pathways of CADM1 as a tumor suppressor in ovarian cancer, we performed RNA microarray profiling on both CADM1-overexpressed group ES-2 cells and mock control group cells. Gene expression profiles were obtained by microarray analysis using Affymetrix GeneChip® PrimeView™ Human Gene Expression Array.

CADM1作为免疫球蛋白超家族（immunoglobulin superfamily）成员，在多种实体瘤中频繁发生功能失活，但其本身可作为肿瘤抑制因子（tumor suppressor）发挥作用。然而，目前对于CADM1在卵巢癌细胞中的表达模式，以及其作为肿瘤抑制因子的具体作用机制，尚未完全阐明。本研究构建了稳定过表达CADM1的卵巢癌ES-2细胞系，旨在分析CADM1过表达ES-2细胞中的差异表达基因。总体实验设计：为揭示CADM1作为卵巢癌肿瘤抑制因子的上游调控通路，我们分别对CADM1过表达组ES-2细胞与空白对照（mock control）组细胞进行了RNA芯片（RNA microarray）转录组谱分析。基因表达谱通过采用Affymetrix GeneChip® PrimeView™ 人类基因表达芯片的芯片分析获得。
