Wheat Cover Crop Accelerated the Decomposition of Cucumber Root litter by altering soil microbial community

Cover cropping can change the diversity of underground litters and influence the soil microbial community. However, whether and how wheat cover crop affects the decomposition of continuous cropping cucumber root litter remains unclear. In this study, a three-year greenhouse litterbag experiment from winter 2018 to spring 2021 was conducted to evaluate the effects of wheat cover crop on cucumber root litter decomposition.

覆盖作物种植（Cover cropping）可改变地下凋落物（underground litters）的多样性，并对土壤微生物群落（soil microbial community）产生影响。然而，小麦覆盖作物是否以及如何影响连作（continuous cropping）黄瓜根系凋落物的分解，目前仍不明确。本研究于2018年冬季至2021年春季开展了为期三年的温室凋落物袋（litterbag）试验，以评估小麦覆盖作物对连作黄瓜根系凋落物分解的影响。
