This dataset accompanies the manuscript “A Novel Spectral Model for Quantifying Goethite/Hematite Ratios in Soil and Sediments on Earth and Mars” and provides the tabulated data used to derive, apply, and validate the proposed EPT-based quantitative framework. The dataset contains (i) Earth-based reference/validation data (synthetic standards and modern soils) and (ii) Mars rover application data derived from Curiosity ChemCam passive spectra with independent CheMin XRD constraints. The dataset is organized into four tables: Synthetic standards: controlled hematite–goethite mixtures/standards with endmember fractions (Hm%, Gt%) and corresponding visible-band spectral metrics (λ1/2 and λc, in nm). Hainan modern soils: modern soil samples with Gt/Hm ratios and associated spectral metrics (λ1/2, λc, in nm). ChemCam passive spectral metrics and hematite estimates: Curiosity ChemCam passive observations summarized by Sol, PSVFilename (PDS product identifier), TargetType, Target, derived λ1/2 (nm), and retrieved hematite proportion (Hematite%). ChemCam passive spectral metrics and CheMin-derived Gt/Hm ratios (validation set): ChemCam passive observations for targets with available CheMin XRD constraints, listing Sol, PSVFilename, TargetType, Target, derived λ1/2 (nm), and Gt/Hm from CheMin.
本数据集配合论文《用于定量地球与火星土壤及沉积物中赤铁矿(Hematite)/针铁矿(Goethite)比值的新型光谱模型》发布,提供了用于推导、应用并验证所提出的基于EPT的定量框架的制表数据。本数据集包含两部分内容:(i) 基于地球的参考/验证数据(合成标准物质与现代土壤样品);(ii) 基于好奇号(Curiosity)化学相机(ChemCam)被动光谱数据,并辅以独立的CheMin X射线衍射(XRD)约束的火星漫游车应用数据集。本数据集共包含四张数据表:
1. 合成标准物质:受控配比的赤铁矿-针铁矿混合物/标准物质,包含端元组分占比(赤铁矿占比Hm%、针铁矿占比Gt%)以及对应的可见光波段光谱参数(λ1/2与λc,单位:纳米);
2. 海南现代土壤:包含针铁矿/赤铁矿比值及相关光谱参数(λ1/2、λc,单位:纳米)的现代土壤样品;
3. 化学相机(ChemCam)被动光谱参数与赤铁矿估算值:按火星日(Sol)、PSV文件名(PSVFilename,行星数据系统(PDS)产品标识符)、目标类型(TargetType)、目标名称(Target)、推导得到的λ1/2(单位:纳米)以及反演得到的赤铁矿占比(Hematite%)汇总的好奇号化学相机被动观测数据;
4. 化学相机(ChemCam)被动光谱参数与CheMin反演得到的针铁矿/赤铁矿比值(验证集):针对带有可用CheMin X射线衍射约束的目标的化学相机被动观测数据,包含火星日(Sol)、PSV文件名(PSVFilename)、目标类型(TargetType)、目标名称(Target)、推导得到的λ1/2(单位:纳米)以及通过CheMin得到的Gt/Hm比值。
