This dataset is supplementary material for the study on the genetic signature of range expansion in the black-legged tick, the vector of Lyme disease. It contains genetic analysis data of 13 black-legged tick populations from southern Quebec. Through genotyping at 10 microsatellite loci, the study explores the genetic mechanisms underlying population range expansion, supports the hypothesis that migratory birds act as the primary transmission vectors, and provides genetic evidence for research on the spatiotemporal dynamics of Lyme disease transmission.
